Special Events

Cabin Fever Weekend, held in conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation, is a St. Louis getaway weekend for families of children with arthritis. Activities for adults and children are planned for the enjoyment of everyone. This event, held at the Missouri Athletic Club for the past eight years, occurs during the first weekend in March.

The annual Martha Kurtz Hillman Joint Adventures Camp is a week-long event held in early summer at the Rotary Camp in Lee's Summit, Missouri on beautiful Lake Jacomo. It is sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation. The camp is staffed by health care professionals familiar with the needs of children with arthritis and activities are planned accordingly.

The Arthritis Foundation also sponsors a Zoo Day for families of children with JRA. This one-day event at the Living World Zoo is filled with family fun and educational rights workshops.

For more information about any of the special events listed above, or to obtain patient information brochures or other resources, contact us at (314) 454-6124 or the Arthritis Foundation at (314) 991-9333.
