St. Louis Children’s Hospital has been the training grounds for hundreds of general pediatricians, hospitalists, sub-specialists, clinician-investigators, clinician-educators, division directors, chairs and other hospital and medical school leaders for more than a century. As one of the major medical centers in the United States, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine offer a unique opportunity for physicians to obtain comprehensive pediatric training in a world-class setting.

Through a diverse curriculum with a focus on hands on learning at the bedside supplemented by didactic and case-based teaching sessions, trainees are exposed to the entire spectrum of pediatric clinical care ranging from common to extremely rare diagnoses. Whether we help prepare trainees to ultimately pursue a career in primary care, hospital medicine, or in a subspecialty field, all residents leave our program feeling prepared to pursue (and excel in!) any career path they choose.
