Infectious Diseases - Excellence in Research and Clinical Care

The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases is a section of the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine and is based at St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Activities within the division revolve around patient care, teaching, and biomedical research in the fields of pediatric infectious diseases and microbial pathogenesis.  In addition, Division faculty oversee the clinical microbiology laboratories and the Infection Control program of St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Our faculty and fellows also participate in a number of programs with the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine and with the Department of Molecular Microbiology.  The Division receives support for training students and fellows from a training grant administered through the Department of Medicine.
