Introduction
The Division of Hematology/Oncology is a part of the Washington University
Department of Pediatrics and is located in St. Louis Children's Hospital. The
division is composed of eight attending physicians, two Ph.D. scientists, five
physician fellows, six advanced practice nurses, six clinic nurses, and more
than 40 research and support staff. The senior physicians are board certified
in pediatric hematology-oncology and faculty members of Washington University
School of Medicine. They have recognized expertise in basic
laboratory science
and innovative clinical investigation
and serve as principal investigators on
federally funded clinical and basic research on blood diseases and cancer.
Provide high-quality, comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with cancer and hematological diseases.
Advance the field through basic and clinical research and by training future academic hematologist-oncologists.
