In the past five years, faculty have played critical roles in major educational and research efforts sponsored by other organizations and agencies, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, American Gastroenterological Association, American Liver Foundation, New York Academy of Sciences, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Robert Koch Institute, American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and the American Society for Microbiology.

Also, in conjunction with the Digestive Diseases Research Core Center the Division co-sponsors a series on digestive diseases, which includes local and invited experts.
