Genetics and Genomic Medicine

The Division of Genetics and Genomic Medicine takes pride in providing prompt, comprehensive, and compassionate state-of-the art clinical care to patients and their families. We provide treatment to patients at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital on the Washington University School of Medicine medical campus. St. Louis Children’s Hospital is recognized as one of the best Children’s Hospitals in the United States, and Washington University School of Medicine is consistently ranked as one of the top medical schools in the country. We are actively involved in teaching genetics and genomic medicine to medical students at Washington University, residents and postgraduate fellows on our medical campus, and physicians and other healthcare providers at Washington University and in the greater St. Louis community.

We provide care for children and adults with a variety of medical problems, including,

  • Inborn metabolic diseases
  • Genetic syndromes
  • Familial cancer syndromes
  • Chromosomal abnormalities
