Dr. Quayle received her undergraduate education at University of
Missouri-Columbia where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with an A.B.
degree in Biology. She attended Washington University School of
Medicine where she received her M.D. degree in 1988 . Dr. Quayle
completed her training in Pediatrics at St. Louis Children's
Hospital in 1991, and then served as Chief Resident for an
additional year. Following her residency, she completed a
fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. From 1994-1998, Dr.
Quayle was an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at
Washington University. She is board certified in Pediatrics and subspecialty
board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Quayle's clinical and teaching duties entail working as an
attending physician in the Emergency Unit at St. Louis Children's
Hospital where she serves as a preceptor for pediatric housestaff
and medical students rotating through the unit. She serves as a
member of the Committee on Admissions for the Medical School. Dr.
Quayle's research interests include minor head injury, injury
prevention, and transport medicine. An ongoing project is the
development of an ecological analysis and geographic mapping of
Missouri children with burn injuries.
