Dr. Paschall earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee
School of Medicine and completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Lebonheur
Children's Medical Center in Memphis. Prior to becoming a faculty member
of the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at St. Louis Children's
Hospital in 1992, Dr. Paschall had gained a wealth of experience during his
service as a general pediatrician while working at clinics in Paris and
Jackson, Tennessee and at the U.S. Air Force Medical Center at Scott Air
Force Base. Dr. Paschall is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics
and Board certified in Pediatrics.
With a special interest in caring for abused and neglected children,
Dr. Paschall serves on the Missouri Sexual Assault Forensic Examination-Child
Abuse Resource and Education Network's Advisory Council and is director of
the Child Protection and Forensic Pediatrics fellowship at St. Louis
Children’s Hospital. He is also a member of national and international
professional organizations on child abuse and neglect as well as a member
of the Ray E. Helfer Honorary Society of Physicians dedicated to ending
child maltreatment. Dr. Paschall has made numerous presentations on the
topic of child maltreatment.
Dr. Paschall has a special interest in pediatrics in developing countries,
particularly in Honduras where he serves as leader for volunteer medical
and dental teams. Recently he organized an international elective in
Honduras for medical students and residents at Washington University School
of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals.
