Cardiology Resources for Fellow's Academic Activities

  1. $1,000 book money may be spent for other professional expenses, available to you for the entire fellowship.
  2. Division support for travel to at least one scientific meeting during your fellowship. This ideally should be a scientific meeting at which the fellow has a presentation. Should you get to the third year with no opportunities to present an abstract, then you may use the money to go to a “networking” meeting. It could also be used for two regional meetings. Maximum total cost will be $1,500, and you will need to submit a budget and get prior approval. Additional meetings to present research are possible with prior Division Director approval, contingent on availability of funds, but should preferentially come out of research funds available to the faculty mentor if they have grant support which includes travel.
