Ana Maria Arbalaez, M.D.

Instructor of Pediatrics

Endocrinology and Diabetes
Patient Oriented Research

Dr. Arbeláez’s research interests include the study of hypoglycemia in diabetes and the physiology of glucose counterregulation, specifically the mechanisms involved in hypoglycemia associated autonomic failure (HAAF) and diabetes, and the role of the central nervous system in HAAF pathophysiology. Dr. Arbeláez is also interested in cystic fibrosis related diabetes.

Dr. Arbeláez enjoys seeing children with any type of endocrine disorder in her clinical practice, including diabetes, growth hormone deficiency, thyroid imbalance, and pubertal issues, among others.
